Physician Assistant – Orthopedics (WILL TRAIN!)

Well-established Orthopedic Group seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant. The position is a Float PA which will support multiple specialty fellowships (sports, trauma, hand, total joints and F&A) trained Orthopedic Surgeons. This position will allow the newly hired PA to learn almost all the orthopedic specialty areas to determine which area they would like to pursue. The newly hired PA will handle a split between the OR and the clinic.

The newly hired PA will have the following responsibilities:

+ Provide surgical first assist

+ Perform patient evaluations

+ Casting and splints

+ Joint aspirations and injections

+ Fracture reductions

+ Post-op follow-ups and rounding

+ Call coverage

+ Patient education

+ Order diagnostic test and review results

Successful candidate should be Board-Certified/Eligible. The location is within 10 minutes of the Fort Wayne area! The area provides great quality of life, very low cost of living, outdoor recreational activities and all the amenities of a major metro area. The newly hired PA must have an orthopedic rotation and some ties to the region.

Compensation: Base salary range: Depends on experience, plus a bonus. Additionally, there is an excellent full benefits package provided which includes 401k profit sharing plan with matching, full medical, 20 days vacation and one week CME, insurance and profit sharing. Relocation package is offered.
