Physician Assistant - Orthopedic (WILL TRAIN!)
Orthopedic Specialty Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to the team. Previous orthopedic experience is preferred but will train a new Physician Assistant with a strong interest in orthopedics! The position includes both the clinic and OR. The new Physician Assistant will be working with a Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon that has a specialty in total joints, extremity, trauma and handles general orthopedic cases. Recent graduates must have completed an orthopedic rotation and should be PANCE-Certified.
Responsibilities include:
- First assist
- Initial evaluations
- Joint aspiration and injections
- Pre-op and Post-op H&P’s
- Reductions of fractures and dislocations
- Write scripts
- Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC’s
- Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
- Casting and splinting
- Possibility to run clinics
- Hospital rounds
The location is 40 minutes to Bloomington. This city has universities, a local airport, low cost of living and excellent school systems. Salary depends on experience plus an excellent production bonus plan. There is a full benefits package offered.
